Your privacy at Simpl

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated August 30, 2026

About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Simpl LLC (“Simpl,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a New Hampshire-based business, collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information through the Simpl iOS application, simpl.wedding, the couple and vendor portals, public wedding websites, guest-upload pages, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here. Some features ask for separate permission before accessing protected device resources or starting an optional service.

Information we collect

Account and profile information

We may collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, login credentials, wedding date, partner information, venue and location information, guest count, preferences, and other profile details supplied by a user.

Wedding-planning information

We may collect checklist tasks, timelines, budgets, vendor selections, contacts, wedding-party details, RSVPs, wedding-website content, documents, notes, shot lists, and related planning information.

Information about contacts and guests

Couples may provide names, email addresses, phone numbers, relationships, profile pictures, RSVP information, and other details about wedding-party members, guests, and vendors. Users are responsible for having appropriate authority to provide information about other people.

Photos, videos, and media

When a user chooses gallery media, Simpl processes the selected photos and videos to display a gallery. If a user separately enables secure gallery backup, Simpl may upload photos and videos available through the permissions the user has provided to deliver the backup service. Backup media is not automatically published to a public wedding website. Only media deliberately selected for publication or sharing is made public.

Guests who use an upload link may provide photos, videos, their name, email address, upload date and time, and technical metadata associated with the submission. Location metadata may be included when it is present in an uploaded file or otherwise provided with permission.

Vendor and beta requests

We collect information submitted through private-beta and vendor-platform request forms, including contact information, business information, vendor type, service area, website, and application notes.

AI conversations and feedback

When a user interacts with Simpl’s planning assistant, we may collect prompts, responses, conversation history, feedback, account or device identifiers, and relevant planning context. Simpl administrators may review conversations and feedback for support, safety, quality control, and improvement of future responses. Do not submit information to the assistant that you do not want processed for these purposes.

Technical information

We and our service providers may collect IP addresses, device and app identifiers, operating-system and app versions, request timestamps, error logs, diagnostic information, authentication records, and security events needed to operate, troubleshoot, and protect the Services.

Analytics and advertising measurement

When product analytics is enabled, Simpl may send privacy-limited app interaction and reliability events to its analytics provider. These events are designed to exclude names, contact details, message content, media, exact wedding dates, exact budgets, and precise locations.

When advertising measurement is enabled, Simpl may send a limited set of events to Meta for advertising measurement and audience creation. These may include signup and publishing activity, a coarse total-budget range, and normalized wedding-vendor categories a user is researching or is no longer researching. Simpl does not send exact budget amounts, vendor business names, contact details, wedding dates, venues, precise locations, media, or assistant messages in these advertising events. Simpl asks for an explicit in-app choice and Apple’s tracking permission before enabling this processing. This choice can be changed in the app’s Settings.

Location for recommendations

When a user asks for recommendations near their current location, Simpl requests foreground location permission at that time. The device converts the location to an approximate city, region, and country before the recommendation request is sent. Simpl does not request background location for this feature, send precise coordinates to its planning service, add current location to analytics or advertising events, or store a history of device locations. If permission is declined, Simpl may use the saved wedding city instead.

How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, synchronize, and maintain the Services.
  • Create and manage accounts, wedding plans, portals, vendor profiles, and public wedding pages.
  • Store, process, back up, display, and share media according to user selections and permissions.
  • Send account, invitation, RSVP, gallery, support, security, and service communications.
  • Generate planning suggestions and AI-assisted responses.
  • Review feedback and improve the quality, accuracy, safety, and usefulness of the Services.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and technical failures.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

How information is disclosed

We may disclose information to service providers that help operate the Services, subject to contractual or other obligations designed to protect information. These providers may include:

  • Mobile application distribution and device-service providers.
  • Application hosting, database, file-storage, media-processing, content-delivery, and network-security providers.
  • Artificial-intelligence service providers when processing assistant prompts, relevant planning context, feedback, and responses.
  • Location, mapping, time, communications, email-delivery, support, and professional service providers.

Information may also be disclosed when a user chooses to publish a wedding page, share a link, send a communication, publish gallery media, submit a public vendor profile, or otherwise directs us to share it. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money. When a user enables advertising measurement, the limited Meta event sharing described above may be treated as targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or a sale or sharing of personal information under some privacy laws. Users can disable Advertising measurement in the app’s Settings or contact us to exercise an applicable opt-out right.

Public content

Wedding websites, published galleries, vendor profiles, guest-upload links, and other shared pages may be accessible to anyone who has the link or, depending on configuration, to the general public. Users should not publish sensitive information they do not want others to access, copy, or share.

User-submitted content

Users, guests, and vendors are responsible for the content they submit, upload, publish, or share through the Services and for obtaining all permissions, releases, licenses, and consents required for that content. Submitted content must not violate another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, contractual, or other legal rights and must not be unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simpl is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, quality, ownership, or appropriateness of content submitted by users, guests, or vendors. Simpl may restrict access to or remove submitted content when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce applicable terms, respond to a complaint, or comply with law.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain an account, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect the Services, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and how it is used. Public content and stored media may remain until removed by an authorized user or administrator or until a valid deletion request is completed. Backup, security, and diagnostic records may remain for a limited additional period.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their passwords, devices, and shared links.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal information; access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of it; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain processing, including a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling. Advertising measurement can be disabled in the app’s Settings.

Account holders can initiate deletion from Settings in the Simpl app. Login access is disabled immediately, active sessions are revoked, and the website administrator is notified to complete permanent deletion manually. To make another privacy request, request media deletion, withdraw consent for optional processing, or appeal a decision about a prior privacy request, email info@simpl.wedding. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to verification.

Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and children may not create Simpl accounts. Couples may include information about children as wedding guests, and a guest-upload page may be used only by a person legally permitted to provide the requested information and media. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate authorization.

External services and links

The Services may contain links to vendor websites, social networks, maps, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Simpl evolves. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the effective date. When required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
